Personal Protective Equipment Specialist (PES)

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is necessary when dealing with workplace hazards ranging from chemicals to bodily fluids. PPE, which can include anything from masks and gloves to full body suits, minimizes the chances of exposure, reducing the likelihood of serious illnesses or injuries affecting workers. For individuals responsible for selecting, using or maintaining PPE, being able to determine the need for and proper use of this equipment is important to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
