Anhydrous ammonia, among many other chemicals, can pose serious hazards to human health. As we’ve seen in this article, emergency responders are tasked with the immediate response to various situations, and without proper training, can succumb to the symptoms of the chemicals with which they come into contact.
NASP offers a HAZWOPER Train-the-Trainer course designed for anyone involved with HAZMAT emergency response or environmental clean-up. Our state-of-the-art course covers, in detail, the regulatory and training requirements of the Hazardous Waste Operation and Emergency Response (29 CFR 1910.120) standard. Not only does the course review the various elements of the HAZWOPER standard, there are also demonstrations as well as “hands-on,” practical simulations to meet the experiential requirements of the regulation.
