2022 is proving to be another fantastic year of growth for NASP. In this article, we will discuss a few of the new courses that we have launched so far this year and give you a sneak peek at what’s to come in the next few months.
Published Courses for 2022
First on our list of published courses is one you may remember from last month’s newsletter. Our ADA Compliance Certificate course has been a huge success since its launch. This course provides in-depth guidance on the ADA accessibility standards so that learners are properly equipped to inspect, assess, and make improvements on their facility to prevent future ADA litigation.
Due to student demand, NASP is excited to announce the launch of our latest specialist course: Training Methodology Specialist (TMS)! This specialist course provides learners with the tools to provide engaging and memorable safety training to their employees. The TMS discusses elements of the ANSI Z490.1 standard, which provides guidance on managing overall safety training programs and criteria for developing training that incorporates adult learning principles. You will learn to deliver training effectively, evaluate the outcomes and application of training on the job, and document the training to maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory mandates.
To expand upon our Oil & Gas course offerings, we have published the first of three high-level Petroleum Safety Manager & Administrator (PSMA) courses, the PSMA Refinery. This 40-hour course takes our Petroleum Safety Specialist-Refinery to the next level through deep discussions on Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management (RMP) programs as well as other regulatory requirements for those in the refinery industry.
On the Horizon…
To complement our PSMA Refinery course, we will be publishing the PSMA Pipeline and PSMA Drilling courses within the next few months! These courses will provide an in-depth safety management perspective into the Drilling and Pipeline industries.
We have entered a partnership with the American Industrial hygiene Association (AIHA) to provide one their most in-demand courses, the Basic Principles of Occupational Hygiene. This 10-hour course provides a foundational understanding of key Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety concepts as the basis for the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of workplace hazards. Stay tuned, this course will be available very soon!
NASP is nearly completed with the development of our own 10- and 30- hour training courses for both General Industry and Construction! We are excited to provide our innovative and interactive spin on these traditional courses that are the cornerstone of employee safety training.
Lastly, we have partnered up with Fit for Work to deliver an engaging 2-day Workplace Ergonomics Specialist course in Orlando, Florida to provide learners with a foundational understanding of workplace ergonomics.
