Through this trenching and excavation safety course, students will learn several safe work practices to minimize potential risks on the construction site. The course offers in-depth coverage of concepts ranging from soil mechanics and trench shields to the hazards of engulfment and cave-ins. Students will also learn relative regulatory requirements that will help them keep sites safe and compliant.

On average, this course takes approximately 16 hours to complete. Students have up to six months to finish it.

  • Online Exams

    The student will take a comprehensive online exam at the end of the course. You must score 80% to receive a certificate. You have two opportunities to pass the exam.

  • Recertification

    A refresher course and exam will be required every three (3) years. The cost of this recertification is $150.
