Located on the coast, NASP regularly receives a front-row view of how pollution affects our nation’s water quality. Storm surges have caused our local area to suffer from the effects of coal ash spills, hog waste lagoon overflows, and municipal waste overflows over the last few years; each event causing further degradation to our waterways.
Events like these are why NASP is committed to making a change. With the launch of our newly updated Certified Environmental Manager (CEM) program, NASP pledges to donate 5% of each CEM purchased from now until the end of 2021 to the Pacific Institute. The Pacific Institute is a leader in producing research and informational resources about water conservation. They provide frequent reports on water conservation issues around the world including sustainability, water conflicts, and water use for agriculture and energy.
